🎙️ RustShip Podcast - Guest Info
Hi, thank you for accepting the invitation to RustShip. đź‘‹
Here are some details about the podcast.
📽️ Podcast distribution
- The podcast is streamed live on my YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles.
- After the episode, I will publish the recording to all the major podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple podcast, etc.).
- I might also republish some clips from the live stream on YouTube in the form of videos (~10 minutes) or shorts (~1 minute vertical video).
I expect the episode to be 1h - 1h30m long.
📝 Episode outline
I’m studying what you have worked on to write a list of questions that I and/or the audience would be interested in.
These questions are the main track for the episode. However, more questions will come up:
- Since the episode is streamed live, people will have the chance to ask you questions, and I will highlight the most interesting comments from the chat.
- More questions will come to my mind based on your answers.
đź’Ş Action items for you
Preparing for the podcast
Please, if you can:
- Tell me if you want me to send you the questions I prepared in advance. When I was a guest on a podcast, knowing the questions in advance boosted my confidence, and I was able to provide better answers. However, if you prefer to improvise it’s totally fine, too. 👍
- Tell me if you have any topics you would like to talk about, especially if you don’t want me to send you the questions in advance.
- Send me the links to your website/social, so I can put them into the episode description.
- Send me a picture of you to use in the YouTube thumbnail. You don’t need to edit the image, I will remove the background and crop it.
- If you want a calendar invite, please send me your email address.
- Tell me if you have appointments right after the podcast, so I can make sure we finish on time.
- Check your setup before the stream (e.g., mic, camera, internet connection). We will join the stream 30 minutes before the start to check everything is working. If you can, try record your audio to check if you hear any background noise, for example coming from the fans of your PC. If you hear it, try to minimize it by moving the microphone away from the PC or by using a noise gate.

When we finished talking, please:
